okay, so, in my room we have crown molding around the cieling...it's more like a chair railing...but it looks like crown molding. it's about a foot from the cieling.

so, when i moved in i noticed a green blob sitting on the crown molding right by my window.

i thought it was sticky tac that somebody left...or some piece of trash....

to my surprise, it's a gummy bear. a little green ball of sugar in the shape of a bear. just sitting up there watching over our room.

now i'm sure you're asking, lindsie, are you going to keep it up there? that's really gross, you should take it down

wow, so it's been a while..sorry about that

this past weekend (labor day weekend) i went to go see veronica in austin. it was lots of fun. i managed to get my hyundai accent up pretty fast...we won't say the number, just in case a parent is reading this

sooooo....after we spent a few days in confusing and wild austin, we decided to go back to dallas for a day...it was only three hours away from austin.

when i walked in the door....my mom started crying and she hugged me so hard. i didn't realize how much i missed her until i decided to make the venture home. i got to take a bubble bath and she fixed me waffles in the morning for breakfast and my favorite food: chicken spaghetti: before i left. i got to take the leftovers back with me

i then proceeded to drive home on monday...i had to be back here by eight and we got a late start so i sped. a little...okay, maybe a lot. and when i was going 87 in a 70 through sweetwater, texas...he got me. a cop was coming from the other direction and slammed on his breaks and hit his lights and drove through the median to get me. i didn't see him for about five minutes, then, he was there, right behind me...it occurred to me only after i got the ticket which he cut me a break on since it was the first time i had ever been pulled over much less gotten a ticket and gave it to me for 79 in a 70 that i could've kept going the speed i was going and pulled off of the highway onto a street crowed by fast food restraunts and gas stations. i could've hidden...but that wouldn't have been honest, right?

oh well, i've got some studying to do...i just wanted to let everyone know about my speeding ticket...since i pissed about it in the first place...

okay, so, i had another thrilling day of classes today.

the only thing that really pisses me off about today is that my algebra professor wants us to keep a "terminology notebook" of all of the bold words out of the book. i thought to myself, oh well, no big deal...i'll just look in the glossary. WRONG. there is no glossary. so i think, okay, i'll just look in the text, it'll give me the definitions...WRONG. they don't define the words, they just put them in bold print and expect you to magically come up with the mathematical definitions on your own. gayness i tell you, gayness

nothing else exciting really happened in my day today. i just did a bunch of homework and today was laundry day. it was also clean sheet day. the only problem is that my sheets aren't back on my bed yet. i'm sure i'll forget about it and then realize it right when i go to climb into bed. i'm not looking forward to that one

oh! when i did my laundry, i went to put my clothes in the dryer and found a dollar in the lint trap. what's sad is that was the most exciting thing that happened to me today.

i lead a pathetic life...oh well, i'm off to austin this weekend to visit my bestest friend in the whole wide world, veronica...that's going to mucho amounts of fun!

okay, so hello. i'm lindsie. and this is my blog

i attend texas tech university! wreck em tech!

okay, so today was the first day of classes. i don't have all of my books from the gay bookstore that they want all freshman to use. i learned my lesson. no more barnes and noble for me...for now on it's the double t or varsity.

the greatest thing about college that i've discovered are the parts that don't involve actually going to class. but in order to enjoy the parts that lack class...i actually have to go to class. which definitely sucks.

so far i don't really have much to worry about class-wise. i'm an early childhood education major and they don't make the classes too hard for us. i have geography for educators which an old guy teaches and has taught for thirty something years. i got there early today and was stuck in the back of the auditorium that is mistaken for a classroom. so now i know to get there super duper early. after that class i had to book it to "essential elements of music" where i was about ten minutes late to find that the purpose of that class is to teach us how to incorporate music into our curriculum. let me tell you...any of my students that get stuck listening to me sing about the pilgrims are in bad shape. i feel sorry for them already. after that class i went on to my dorm...met with my roommate, melissa, and we went to the student union for lunch. we then went on to "introduction to human sciences" which is already going to be a boring class.

it's this one hour class that they want all freshmen to take. so, naturally, i'm taking it. the grade is 60% attendence and 40% two papers that we have to write about some guest speakers that come talk about topics such as "interior design...not like trading spaces" woo-hoo.

okay, i'm gonna head off to bed. i'll make another one tomorrow...hopefully
